THE INTENSITY OF BELIEF

As a matter of my daily routine, waking up early hours of this morning to write my "Food For Thought," I asked myself, "What are the beliefs that have brought me thus far? I'm I satisfied with the achievements I've made so far? I'm I in the direction of God's purpose for my life?"

These and many more questions flooded my mind. Then I realised that the intensity of our beliefs is the key driver to our destiny. Our beliefs set the tone and spice the flavour of our lives.

Belief is the fire that propels successful people to achieve their goals. It's a powerful force that can break any limitation. It is the ingredient used by ordinary people to achieve extraordinary results.

Joan of Arc was a twelve-year-old shepherd girl when she developed the belief that she would lead the army of France against England. The intensity of her belief was quite overwhelming. At age seventeen she appeared before Prince Charles and explained her belief to him. He was so impressed he gave her a suit of armour and an army to lead. Joan of Arc then led a successful siege against the supposedly unconquerable bastions of Orleans.

Beliefs are the fundamental choices we make about how to perceive our lives and how to live our lives. So, the first step toward achieving success in any field is to find the beliefs that will guide you toward the results you want. No matter what the odds may be, or how insurmountable the barriers appear, belief dictates the possible way.

The armour of your belief and goals may take the form of a pen, spanner, stethoscope, computer, or a microphone. Your sword may be determination, character, patience, perseverance, or commitment. I have a very strong conviction that success is achieved by ordinary people with extraordinary determination.

This is your day: Intensify your belief and blend it with determination for a possible victory.
